Using the story of Joseph, the camp will explore different themes through storytelling, art, science and play. Each day will cover a different topic, including family relationships, justice, leadership, and forgiveness.
A typical camp day will begin with an opening assembly with music and an introduction to the day’s theme followed by dramatic storytelling. After drama, our campers will break into groups and go to one of our three other sessions: Science, Crafts & Creations, and Games & Activities. After the first session, there will be a break for lunch and recess.
In the afternoon, campers will go to their remaining two sessions. The day will end with a closing assembly to reflect on what they’ve learned during the day before gathering their things and getting ready for pick up at 2. Extended care will available from 2-5 each day.
Drama: Each day campers will experience an immersive storytelling that will go through the story of Joseph and evoke sights, tastes, smells, sounds, and textures from biblical times.
Science: Campers will learn about the focus of the day and the world around them as they conduct interactive experiments.
Crafts & Creations: Campers will explore the day’s theme by making art, constructing things, and being creative.
Games & Activities: Campers will get to know each other and delve into our stories and themes by playing games and being active.
Camp will run from Monday, June 17th to Friday, June 21st from 9am to 2pm, with extended care available until 5pm.
The cost for the week is $150 for one child, and $100 for each additional child. Extended Care is $15 per day for each child.
