The Women's Group is open to women of all ages within the church community. We meet every other month to learn, discuss, and reflect on spiritual topics we deem significant and which have been decided on in advance by the group.
As a group, we strive to be the embodiment of the church’s core values: Caring, Community, Inclusiveness, Spirituality, and Mission. We work toward this goal by encouraging spiritual growth, sharing our personal experiences and faith journeys, connecting with women of all ages, and serving our community.
We normally meet on Sundays after worship, gathering for a brown bag lunch in the Parlor of the main church building or at a member’s home. In the past we have also met to attend concerts at Wolf Trap and the Cathedral, visit a monastery, and to host a Parents’ Night Out event. Our venues change as the Spirit moves us!
We alternate months with the Women’s Red Tent group, meeting about six times a year. Our meeting dates, times, and topics are announced well in advance on the church calendar, worship bulletin, and newsletter. All women are welcome and urged to join.
